The contrast between the muddy brown floodwaters of the Okanogan River and the blue waters of the Columbia can be clearly seen from the overlook at mouth of the Okanogan where it enters the Columbia east of Brewster. The Okanogan River will remain closed by emergency order of the Okanogan County Sheriff through Memorial Day weekend.
