Lake Chelan United Methodist Church
CHELAN - Easter Sunday, April 5, will begin with breakfast prepared by the men at 8:30 a.m. Following breakfast there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children. Communion will be offered during the Easter Service which begins at 10:15 a.m., with fellowship following at 11:30 a.m.
North Shore Bible Church
MANSON - North Shore will have a Good Friday Service at 7 p.m., on April 3, featuring the Community Choir directed by Marci Hale.
The Sunrise Easter Service on April 5, will be on Scout Hill in Manson at 6:30a.m., with breakfast following at Manson United Methodist Community Church.
North Shore's Easter Service is at 9:30 a.m., at the church.
Orondo Community Church
ORONDO: The Orondo Community Church will host their annual Easter Son-Rise Service at 7:30 a.m., April 5, at the Orondo River Park, 21552 Highway 97, near the pavilion overlooking the beautiful Columbia River. They invite you to worship with them, as they celebrate and reflect on the miracle of our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ. The Orondo River Park is located in Orondo near mile marker 215. Handmade items wanted for Manger Mall
MANSON - Do you a knit, crochet or make blankets? Have you made numerous hats, gloves, scarves and blankets over the years for your kids, grandkids, kids of friends, grandkids of friends? Chelan Valley Hope's Manger Mall is looking for folks, who would be interested in making handmade items for their 7th season of Manger Mall. Manson Library board openings
MANSON - The Manson Community Library Board has two positions open. If you love books, would like to help out your community library, and have some time and energy to devote to a great cause please consider running for a position. You must be a registered voter and live within the Manson School District to run. The term of office is for three years and meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. Sign ups will run through March 31. Voting will take place at the library starting April 1 and close at 4:30 p.m. on April 16. Votes will be counted at a special board meeting at 4:30 p.m. on April 16. Dr. Witt to speak
CHELAN - Gynecologist and speaker Dr. Ty Witt will present his second women's health workshop Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m., at the Lake Chelan Clinic. 219 E. Johnson Ave. Dessert will be served. The mini topic is Advances in Contraception. The Q&A session following Dr. Witt's presentation is appropriate for women of all ages. Next months' workshop will be held at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital on Thursday, April 16 at noon. The topic will be "Your Hormones," and lunch will be served. Law Enforcement Appreciation Open House
A Law Enforcement appreciation open house will be held at Chelan City Hall one hour before the regular city council meeting from 5-6 p.m., Thursday, March 26. Come meet your local Chelan County Sheriff's deputies and enjoy some coffee and cookies.
Women's Encouragement Group:"
MANSON - The Vegetable Soup Brigade." Come and enjoy food and fellowship with local women. They will prepare a new recipe with Timi Starkweather, share the results over lunch and have a time of encouragement, music and sharing. Next gathering is Saturday, March 28, 11 a.m. -1:30p.m., at North Shore Bible Church in Manson.
Banquet and fundraiser
Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretative Center in Entiat will hold their annual at the Chelan Senior Center on Saturday, March 28, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person. For more information or to buy a ticket call 509-670-4875.
