Celebrate Recovery meetings
Lake Chelan Celebrate Recovery Meets every Thursday at Little Stone Church, 2133 West Woodin Avenue. Dinner is at 6 p.m., cost is $3. Group meeting at 6:30 p.m., followed by gender-specific small groups. Celebrate Recovery is a confidential, Biblically-based twelve step program for anyone struggling with addiction, co-dependency, gambling, relationships and other life issues. Contact: 509-860-8108.

Strawberry fundraiser
Young Life strawberry fundraiserThe Leavenworth Young Life group is selling strawberries (previously a Leavenworth Rotary Club fundraiser) to send kids to camp. Same great Washington fresh berries, 15 pound bucket for only $35. Order forms available at the Lake Chelan Mirror, 315 E. HDCA 1st Friday
The Historic Downtown Chelan First Friday begins this Friday, June 6, 5 to 8 p.m. Join your Historic Downtown Chelan Association, performers, artists, musicians and local retailers as they "take it to the streets". Included in the planned activities are free hands-on projects for kids, retailer specials, and other fun surprises like "Meet the Mayor", "Music for your Pallet" and "Hometown Apple Carts". Learn to oil paint
On Friday, June 6, 1- p.m. in Riverwalk Park learn to oil paint landscapes En Plein Air (out of doors), on location. This session involves learning to paint quickly, capturing a scene and finishing it, on a smaller scale. Supplies to bring: oil paints, brushes, palette knife, palette to mix paint on turpentine or thinner, 11" x 14" or smaller canvas or board, small sketch pad and pencil, easel. Cost $40. Guild Y Rummage Sale
Guild Y will be having a Rummage Sale on Friday, June 6, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Quality kitchen ware, clothing, home decorations, linens and other items will be offered for sale at the Lake Chelan United Methodist church near the Post Office in downtown Chelan. Profits from the sale will be used to support the Lake Chelan Community Hospital.
Eagles garage sale
The Lake Chelan Eagles will be having a garage sale on Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., lower level at the club, located on Woodin Avenue in downtown Chelan. Members and non-members can donate to help fix the elevator. Gentley used items are being accepted. No clothes please. For more information call the Eagles Club at 682-2021 or Pat Nicholas 682-0268.

Pancake breakfast
Who can resist buttermilk and blueberry pancakes, baked ham, and scrambled eggs? Chelan Fire District 7 Volunteer Firefighters host their annual pancake breakfast Saturday, June 7, 8-11 a.m., Station 71, 232 E. Wapato Avenue in Chelan. Suggested minimum donation is $5 per person; however, please feel free to be generous as it comes back to the community through various programs that the firefighters support. Pose for pictures, take a ride with Sparky on the department's restored vintage fire truck. Souvenir Fire Department Pancake Breakfast T-Shirts will be available for purchase at First Friday on June 6 at the Fire Department booth and at the pancake breakfast.

Wellness Group Cancer Support Group
The Women's Wellness Group, cancer support group, will meet at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital for lunch on Tuesday, June 10th, at 11:45 in the Board Room. Lunch is provided by the Lake Chelan Community Hospital.

Habitat yard sale
The 36th Habitat For Humanity Yard Sale will open Friday, June 13, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and continue until Sunday, June 15. Saturday hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday's $1 and $2 Bag Sale will be Sunday, June 15 beginning at 3 p.m., at the Manson United Methodist Church. The sale promises to continue the usual choice and quality that has been found at previous sales. Items and clothing will be accepted until June 11. Please, no tv's, computers, old paint cans, or large exercise pieces of equipment. Anyone wishing to help with the sale, or donate large pieces of furniture, should phone Alice Killian at 687-3378.

Clothing giveaway
Clothing and accessories will be given away on June 7 and 21, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Riverwalk Closet, located at Chelan Riverwalk Church on the corner of Emerson Street and Okanogan Avenue in Chelan. Clothing etc. is given away the 1st and 3rd Saturdays every month. To donate items call April at 682-3151.

Blood Drive
The next Chelan-Manson Red Cross Blood Drive will be Wednesday, June 18 at the North Shore Bible Church in Manson. The Soroptomist Club is sponsoring this blood drive and the hours are 1-6 p.m. To sign up to give blood, please call 1-800 733 2767.
