Now thru Sept. 8 Guild Y annual fundraiser Lake Chelan Community Hospital Guild Y members currently have their annual Butter Braid fundraiser underway. The frozen Butter Braid and Pastry Puffin products can be ordered from any Guild Y member for $11 each. They come in a wide variety of popular flavors and will be delivered in late October just in time for the holiday season. To order: President Susan Crinklaw, 687-3113, and Vicki Carr, 888-6332, will also be glad to take orders. All orders must be in and paid for by Monday, Sept. 8. All funds raised will be used to support our local hospital. Now thru Sept. 28 Traveling exhibit at Lake Chelan Museum The Lake Chelan Museum, 204 E. Woodin Avenue, has a unique display combining the art work of Ray Troll with the science of paleontologist, Kirk Johnson, about the science of fossils. This traveling exhibit is on loan from the Burke Museum in Seattle. From now through September 28, come learn more about prehistoric life and death in our own state. Open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 a.m..; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. August 30 Book sale Manson Community Library Book Sale will be Saturday, August 30, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Manson Grange Hall. All donations welcome during library business hours. September 5 Historic Downtown Chelan First Friday Historic Downtown Chelan Association will be sponsoring artists, performers, fun and free hands-on activities for kids, on First Friday, September 5, 1, 5-8 p.m. in Historic Downtown Chelan.
