Kids 'Art in the Park'
Lake Chelan Arts Council kids 'Art in the Park' schedule for July. Wednesday July 23, " Learning to Print" Instructor, Sara Johnson Ages: 8-10. Learn how to print cards and make envelopes in this great workshop. Class location: Riverwalk Park covered picnic area. Registration/ fees: Students must pre-register at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and pay $5 per class registration fee. Art exhibit in Stehekin
Mountain Medley opens at the Golden West Gallery in Stehekin, on July 18, with a reception, at 7:30- 9 p.m. The exhibit is on display until August 13 with artists Renee' Hudak - Gouache painting and Nancy Barnhart - Photography. The gallery is located in the Golden West Visitor Center in Stehekin and is open daily. Arts and Humanities of Stehekin operates the gallery in conjunction with the House That Jack Built (community craft shop) providing exhibits and programs that promote understanding and appreciation of the North Cascades, through the arts.

SAGE in need of shoes
SAGE in Wenatchee is only two weeks away from their shoe drive deadline and they still need more shoes. Men's, women's, children's, new, used, slippers, flip flops, sneakers, boots, heels collecting dust in your closet, Crocs, Uggs. Bring them to their office before July 25 (710 N. Chelan Avenue, Wenatchee). Any donation is tax deductible. As for what they're planning on doing with the shoes, another organization has agreed to exchange $3,000 for 300 bags of 25 shoes in each bag. In turn, this organization will donate the shoes to those who need them in a third world country. Contact SAGE at 509-663-7446.

Football Club Golf Tourney
Wenatchee Football Club's 1st Annual Golf Tournament, sponsored by Banner Bank, will be Saturday, July 26, The Highlander Golf Club. Registration: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., starts at 1 p.m. Dinner and awards to follow. Proceeds go to football programs in Wenatchee Celebrity Golfer Steve Emtman will also be golfing that day.
