Manson Farmers' Market
The Farmers' Market in Manson opens the 2013 season on Saturday, June 15. Markets are Saturday and Wednesday mornings at the Manson Grange. Local farmers, growers, crafters and artisans bring fresh picked produce and handcrafted items. Market starts at 8:30 a.m. when the bell rings. Sellouts are common so come early for the best selection. Market runs until 11:30 a.m. Some vendors may linger longer, but many vendors sellout and leave early.

Thursday Evening Farmer's Market
More than 20 vendors will sell produce and other products from 4 to 7 p.m. The Thursday Evening Farmer's Market is held at Riverwalk Park on Emerson Street in Chelan.

Entiat Summer Market

Strawberry fundraiser
The Rotary Club of Leavenworth's Strawberry Fundraiser is now underway. Fresh unsweetened strawberries in a 15 pound bucket, cleaned, sliced and ready to eat can be ordered for $32.50 per bucket. Payment is due when order is placed. Pickup your order form at the Lake Chelan Mirror or for more information call Steve Schwind evenings at 509-662-2906. Order deadline is June 28. Pickup will be Tues., July 2, after 10 a.m. at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, located at 315. E. Woodin Ave.

Red Cross Blood Drive
The next American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Wed., June 19, 1 to 6 p.m., at North Shore Bible Church, located at 123 Wapato Point Parkway in Manson. SafeSitter Course
A SafeSitter Course ® will be held June 21 and 22, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by Lake Chelan Community Hospital at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 E. Wapato Ave. Lunch provided both days. Cost is $75. Curriculum provides hands-on practice in lifesaving technique and instruction, including: How a child's age affects how to care for them; How to prevent problem behavior; How to run your own baby sitting business; Basic first aid, infant and child choking rescue and CPR. Saul Gallegos Memorial Run
Join the community at Singleton Park in Manson for this event, named for Deputy Saul Gallegos, who was killed in the line of duty in 2003. Walk the 3K, or run the 5K or 10K. Century Challenge 
Take your pick of a 30, 60 or 100-mile bike ride through the picturesque Lake Chelan Valley. Starting in Chelan at the Don Morse Park on Saturday. The challenge provides a three-segment course of varying skill. Take in the sights of Navarre Coulee, Lake Chelan and McNeil Canyon. Visit www.centuryride.com
Cycle de Vine
Cycle de Vine occurs concurrently with the Century Challenge. Riders travel more than 30 miles, stopping at several of the Lake Chelan Valley's wineries. The course starts in Don Morse Park in Chelan. Visit www.centuryride.com or www.chelancycledevine.com.

Reinvent summer fun with Camp Invention
SunnySlope Elementary School in Wenatchee is hosting Camp Invention during the week of June 24-28. This year's Camp Invention program is Geo-Quest which features the I Can Invent: Launchitude module, where children, entering grades one through six, use physics and engineering to create a Duck Chucking device using components from everyday objects. Each day, children rotate through integrated modules that employ creative thinking to solve real-world challenges. Children learn vital 21st century life skills such as problem solving and teamwork through imaginative exploration. Rocky Horror casting complete
The Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee's upcoming production of the Broadway musical version of Richard O'Brien's "Rocky Horror Show" has been cast and tickets are now on sale at the PAC. The show opens Aug. 1 and runs through Aug. 17 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 9 p.m. Cabaret seating is $55, Premium seating is $32.75, Standard seating is $28.75, and Students are only $18.75.
