You might think this large turbine prop is just a non-working tourist attraction sitting in the middle of the parking lot at Wells Dam. But once a year, on April Fool’s Day only, dam personnel flip the switch and turn on the giant spinning blades to blow any residual snow from the surrounding park facilities.
