Three dozen teams compete in APJ basketball

Posted

PATEROS – The three-on-three basketball competition was fast, fair, and fun for the teams that turned out for the annual Apple Pie Jamboree tournament last Saturday, July 20. Though the number of teams fell short of last year’s 45, the three dozen who registered gave the sideline spectators all the excitement they could handle.

Event coordinator Jared Henton and his team of volunteers and scorekeepers kept the action flowing from the 8 a.m. start time through the early afternoon on multiple courts that occupied the east end of Lakeshore Drive.

The 36 teams competed in seven brackets from12 years old and under through adults.
