Maurice Santillants of Lynnwood caught this 34-pound hatchery chinook salmon in the Brewster pool area of the Columbia River last Friday morning, August 3. It was on opening morning of the Brewster King Salmon Derby and, if Santillants had been an entrant, his monster salmon would have won King of the Pool honors by almost seven pounds.
The 34.32-pound king salmon caught in the Brewster pool last Friday, Aug. 3 was not an entry in the salmon derby.
