The Guild's last gifts

Posted
BREWSTER - The Three Rivers Hospital Guild members have agreed to terminate their group, but not before carrying out a few more good deeds for the hospital.

"There are not enough volunteers to continue with our activities," said President Lenora Page in a statement. "More and more people are now working full time. And we have lost several long time members who are very much missed. After many years of sponsoring the Red Cross blood drives, the Easter basket sales, renovating the hospital's chapel and some patient rooms as well as purchasing supplies and equipment for various departments, the remaining members voted to purchase new chairs for the lobby and patient rooms, buy mats and weights for the Health and Wellness Center and new thermometers for the OB rooms with their remaining monies. We so appreciate all those that volunteered their time over the years. We are sad there will no longer be a Guild, but felt there was nothing else we could do. I would like to invite everyone to visit Three Rivers Hospital to see the new chairs in our lobby."
