A helping hand

Posted
The Carlton Complex Wildfire swept through Pateros and Brewster earlier this month, taking more than 300 homes with it. Fire crews are still working to contain the blaze, but locals are trying to get past the devastation of losing their homes.
Luckily, good samaritans didn't waste time before coming out of the woodwork. It wasn't long before several emergency shelters were set up, along with relief centers and donations to fill the empty spaces of the Pateros High School gym, Chelan Valley Hope and Pateros City Hall, among others.
Locals are still asking how they can help. While residents were devastated with the loss of their homes, they are now working towards getting their lives back on track.
There are several organizations who are helping with the cause. Officials are asking, however, that donated goods be limited, and monetary donations be supplemented.
The following is a list of areas and ways folks can help out the victims of the Carlton Complex Wildfire.
