BREWSTER – The Bears varsity football team improved its Central Washington 2B League record to 3-2 with a 56-10 win over visiting Bridgeport under a full Harvest Moon Homecoming Night on Champion Field last Friday, Oct. 6.

“Our defense played great again and all of our backs got in on the action,” said Bears coach Jake Johanson. “I felt that we started fast and did a good job throughout the game doing what we needed to do to move the chains.”

Brewster’s early lead gave the coach an opportunity to give his bench reserves some action.

“It was nice to get some younger guys some experience and play time,” said Johanson. “This is a big week for us going up to Tonasket where we have to get the job done if we want to consider ourselves a playoff team.”

The 4-1 Tigers stand second in the CW2B behind undefeated 6-0 Manson Trojans.
