Billygoats lost to league leader Entiat

ENTIAT – The Billygoats varsity football team had a tough game on the road last Friday, Oct. 5, with a 56-6 loss to Entiat that leads the Central Washington B-1B league with a 3-1 record.

“We played good defensively the first quarter only giving up two early touchdowns but went 0-3 in the red zone the first quarter,” said coach Marcus Stennes. “Second quarter we finally scored to make it 18-6 but then struggled to get stops and they had a big second quarter.”

Entiat scored 48 points in the first half with that big second quarter and added the final eight points in the third quarter.

Jeremy Piechalski led the Pateros offense. Completing nine of 19 passes for 133 yards and two interceptions.

“Kobe Thrixton had a good game for us catching six passes for 92 yards and one TD,” said Stennes. “Ivan Ceniceros ran 12 times for 55 yards.”

The Billygoats host 2-0 Almira-Coulee-Hartline for their final home game at 7 p.m. this Friday.
