Bridgeport hosts seven teams at League Meet

BRIDGEPORT – Five teams joined the host Mustangs and Fillies at the Bridgeport League Meet last Thursday, March 29. Cascade Christian Academy came the furthest distance to join Omak, Soap Lake, Pateros, and Brewster. First place winners from Brewster, Pateros, and Bridgeport are as follows:
Brewster’s Ernie Nanamkin won the men’s 100 and 400 meters and javelin events.
Gilbert Padilla-Rodriguez of Bridgeport took the 200M.
Bridgeport’s Tony Flores won the 3200M.
Alex Perea captured both the 110M and 300M hurdles.
Bridgeport won the men’s 4x100 relay.
Alfredo Nila of Brewster won the men’s discus.
On the women’s side, Anna Williams of Pateros won both the 100 and 200 meters and added the long jump for good measure.
Brewster’s Kelsey Ochoa took the 800 and 1600M
Marlisa Garcia of Brewster was the 3200M winner.
Bridgeport runners Karla Torres and Lesly Velasco won the 110M and 300M hurdles respectively.
Bridgeport women won both the 4x200 and 4x400 relays.
Bridgeport’s Emily Saucedo won the discus and Kim Nila of Brewster took the javelin.
Esmeralda Garcia won the triple jump.
