Bridgeport sweeps All League MVP, Coach, Sportsmanship awards

BRIDGEPORT – The Mustangs high school varsity boys’ soccer team swept the three categories for Most Valuable Player, Coach of the Year and Sportsmanship honors in 2019 Central Washington 2B All League voting this year.

Senior Christian Aguilar was voted the Most Valuable Player, Gabe Gonzalez won Coach of the Year and the Mustangs team took the Sportsmanship Award. The Mustangs won the CW2B League championship this season, placed third in District 5/6 play and made to round of 16 in state playoffs. The team was heavy with experience including 16 seniors who graduated last Friday, May 31.

Along with Aguilar, eight Mustangs made First, Second or Honorable Mention team status. Four Brewster players were also nominated.
