Fillies lose to second-place Waterville-Mansfield, 39-22

BRIDGEPORT – The Fillies varsity basketball team dropped to 2-3 and sixth place in the Central Washington 2B League after a 39-22 loss against a tough 5-2 Waterville-Mansfield team that moved into second place behind Brewster.
The Fillies hosted the Lady Shockers last Friday, Dec. 15, and fell behind early as Waterville-Mansfield took a 12-point lead into the second quarter before stalling and allowing Bridgeport to close the gap slightly by halftime.
The Lady Shockers scored single-digit quarters in the last half of the game but managed to edge ahead of Bridgeport another six points to win by 17.
The Fillies were scheduled to play at Republic on Wednesday, Dec. 20. They will host Entiat on Wednesday, Dec. 28, and play the Nannies at Pateros on Thursday, Dec. 29.
The Lady Shockers are off until Dec. 29, when they travel to Almira-Coulee-Hartline.
