Finish fourth in District 5/6 Lady Bears enter state volleyball as No. 4 seed

ROYAL CITY – The Brewster Lady Bears varsity volleyball team will enter the WIAA State Volley Championships as a fourth seed and face Ocosta at 9.45 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Yakima SunDome. Brewster finished fourth in the District 5/6 playoffs and the Lady Wildcats are the undefeated league champs of the 2B Pacific.

The unbeaten Central Washington 2B League volleyball champion Lady Bears took their winning streak to the District 5/6 playoffs at Royal High School, Oct. 25, and shut out White Swan, 3-0, in the first round.

In the semifinals, Brewster won the first game, 25-20, against Tri-Cities Prep, but lost the next three, 15-25, 15-25, 17-25, to drop into the consolation round with Kittitas later that same day.

In the third and fourth state seed match against the Lady Coyotes, Brewster came out on the short end of all three games, 13-25, 18-25, and 14-25.  
“We are excited to see what we can accomplish in Yakima,” head coach Marcy Boesel said.
