Lady Bears lose to Cashmere by a run, 7-6

BREWSTER – Following an easy season-opening doubleheader against Oroville on March 18, the Lady Bears got a workout from a well-matched roster of Cashmere Bulldogs that came to town last Saturday, March 25.
In a game that featured good pitching, fielding and hitting from both teams and could have gone either way, Cashmere edged by Brewster, 7-6, in the final inning to claim the win.
Scheduled games at Bridgeport, March 21, and a doubleheader with Soap Lake at home last Saturday were both postponed due to unfavorable field conditions, coach Rick Miller said.
The Lady Bears were scheduled to host Bridgeport in a doubleheader last Tuesday, March 28.
“Soap Lake has not been re-scheduled yet,” Miller said.
