Lady Bears remained undefeated in CW2B play

BREWSTER – Behind junior Sammi Emigh’s 10 opening quarter points, the Lady Bears jumped out to a 17-6 lead over Lake Roosevelt in the first quarter of play last Thursday, Dec. 20. Brewster never allowed the Lady Raiders to catch up, as the Lady Bears captured their sixth league game to remain undefeated in CW2B play. The previously undefeated Lady Raiders dropped to second place at 5-1.

With the help of a pair of three-pointers from Mikenna Kelpman in the second quarter, Brewster stretched its lead to 33-18 and set the tone for the last half of the contest. With help from senior Kelsie Olbricht, the Lady Raiders gained a little ground in the third and fourth quarters, but fell seven points short of overtaking Brewster, 51-44, at the buzzer.

Emigh led all scorers with 21 points. Lake Roosevelt senior Kelsie Olbricht led the Lady Raiders with 20.

On the road against Soap Lake, Dec. 18, the Lady Bears won their fifth straight league game, 57-40.
