Pateros spoils Bridgeport football Homecoming, 40-30

BRIDGEPORT – The Pateros Billygoats varsity football team took some of the luster off Homecoming Night for Bridgeport by handing the Mustangs a 40-30 loss at Bridgeport’s final home game of the season.

“This was a solid win for us, especially being able to make some big plays to close it out,” said Pateros head coach Marcus Stennes. “We had a lot of players contribute.”

Among those was quarterback Ivan Ceniceros who connected on 10 of 19 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown and rushed 21 times for 218 yards and three TDs.

Kobe Thrixton also had a good night, rushing 10 times for 80 yards and catching five passes for 65 yards.
Pateros stands fourth in the Central Washington B-1B League with a 3-3 record with one remaining game on the road at Wellpinit this Friday, Oct. 26.

Bridgeport, currently sixth in the CWB-1B with a 2-4 record, faces 4-2 Entiat on the road, Friday, Oct. 26.
