Six Bears selected for All-League Football teams

BREWSTER – Seven Bears varsity football team players, led by senior Mason Kelly, junior Cade Gebbers and sophomores Adaih Najera and Arnie Arevalo were named to the 2019 Central Washington 2B All-League Football teams by a recent vote of school coaches and athletic directors.

Najera was nominated for First Team Offense as a running back and Second Team Defense as a linebacker.  Kelly was a First Team Defense defensive back and Offense Honorable Mention as quarterback. Gebbers was picked as First Team Offense receiver and Defense Honorable Mention as defensive back. Arevalo made First Team Defense linebacker and Second Team Offense lineman.

Rounding out the Bears selections were senior Rodolfo Madrid, Second Team Offense lineman, junior Logan McGuire Offense Honorable Mention, and freshman Nico Maldonado, Defense Honorable Mention.

The Bears lost their state first round game to defending champion Loggers at Onalaska, 60-7, on Friday, Nov. 15.
