Birthday celebration

Come help Mary Johnson celebrate her 90th birthday on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2-4 p.m., at the Brewster Senior Center.

Swimming pool open

Farmers Market

Bridgeport/Brewster Farmers Market are now open on Fridays. Bridgeport hours are 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Firemans Park. Tom Dundas is the contact person, 686-8111. Brewster hours are 2-5 p.m. at the Grange Hall. Contact Marge Hagy 689-2748 for info. Fresh produce is now available at both Brewster and Bridgeport locations. Crafting vendors are also welcome.

Birthday Calendar fundraiser

BearBacker Parent Group is again selling Community Birthday Calendars for $12. This year calendars will feature photos taken by Brewster High School students. All funds raised support the educational enhancement of Brewster Elementary School students. To order a calendar please contact Marcy Boesel 689-3621.

Friday Night Pinochle

Join them starting at 6 p.m., at the Senior Center (you need not be a member) and have lots of fun. The group would love to have more players. We need some more players to come and enjoy three hours of fun. Win $2 for High, and $1 for low, door prize, and pinochle.

Open Auditions for Holiday Spice 2013

Open auditions for Holiday Spice will be held Thursday, August 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee. Holiday Spice is a community based holiday variety show benefitting the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee. The show is Thursday, November 21 at 7 p.m. Performers must be available for rehearsals Monday, November 18 through Wednesday, November 20. Additional rehearsals will be scheduled at mutually convenient times during October and November. To audition, prepare a holiday number - it may be singing, dancing, or other performance art. Support group

The new NCW Lyme Support Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30 p.m. at 208 North Chelan Avenue in Wenatchee. They focus on providing information and resources to anyone whose life has been disrupted by Lyme disease as well as interested providers of care. Lyme is the most frequently occurring vector-borne infectious disease in the US and can cause arthritis, mental illness, and neurologic problems. Rocky Horror Show

The Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee's production of the Broadway musical version of Richard O'Brien's "Rocky Horror Show" is showing and tickets are on sale at the PAC.
