Tidbits, Feb. 7
If you haven't been to a Bridgeport Mustangs basketball game, in between the exciting court action are some pretty entertaining halftime shows. On Friday, a group of skilled second graders took to the court - with lowered hoops, of course - to play their own game while the varsity players took a break. The crowd was just as pumped watching Bridgeport's younger students play.

A familiar face from Three Rivers Hospital's past was spotted on the front page of The Waitsburg Times last week. Former CEO Dale Polla, who resigned April 1 amid some controversy when a board member called for his termination, was hired as the new CEO for Columbia County Health System in October. The Health System runs Dayton General Hospital, which is a critical access hospital like TRH.

TRH Commissioner Vicki Orford had recommended Polla's termination in 2011, citing "lack of ability to fill or meet his requirements, seems to lack direction or vision to actions that are board directed, no or very little follow-up, lacks ability to meet pertinent deadlines in personnel obligations."
