Hospital to hold meeting on levies

BRIDGEPORT - Three Rivers Hospital will host a town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23 in the Bridgeport High School Library, 1220 Kryger Street.

The purpose of the meeting is to share information about two levy propositions that will appear on the August 2, 2016 election ballot.

BREWSTER - The Okanogan County Transit Authority (Trango) is expanding its service routes to include the remainder of the county effective July 1, the Brewster City Council learned at its regular monthly meeting last Wednesday, June 8.

BREWSTER - Joe Glandon has a commanding vista from his new house overlooking North Star Road in Brewster. From the elevated bench looking southeast he can see a wildfire coming for miles. But it was the Carlton Complex wildfire that came from the opposite direction in July, 2014, that consumed Glandon's home along with many others, and set him on a path to the rebuilt residence he has today.
