Brewster man arrested for child abuse

BREWSTER – Brewster Police Chief Nattalie Cariker reported that on Feb. 18, Brewster Police Department  responded to a child abuse complaint where a Brewster infant was treated for severe head trauma at the local hospital and transported to a Spokane hospital.
The police department was advised from medical staff that the injuries were consistent with abuse, Cariker said. Brewster police arrested a 23-year-old male on Feb. 26 for first degree assault of a child.
