Brewster Salmon Derby ticket deadline is July 28

BREWSTER – Fishermen have until Sunday, July 28, to purchase tickets for the Brewster King Salmon Derby being held this year from Friday, August 2 through Sunday, August 4.

Tickets can be ordered online at brewstersalmonderby.com or by calling (509) 429-9309.

A new development from last year is that the Brewster Derby is now a member of the Northwest Salmon Derby Series (nwsalmonderbyseries.com). That means that an entry into the Brewster Derby is eligible for a grand prize drawing in November for a deluxe fishing boat-motor-trailer package.

The lucky winner will receive a $65,000 KingFisher 2025 Falcon Series boat equipped with a 150-horsepower (hp) Honda motor and 9.9 hp trolling motor together with an EZ-Loader galvanized trailer. The fully rigged outfit comes with Scotty downriggers, Raymarine Electronics, custom WhoDat tower and dual electronic stereo. Also from last year is a weight division, the Team Derby Total Average Weight category added to the prize brackets. The Sidepots tab on the website explains that new twist.
An advisory on the derby website says officials will email and post should any changes occur.

All Brewster Derby profits benefit local charities such as the Brewster Boys and Girls Club, Pateros-Brewster-Bridgeport Senior Center and the Coastal Conservation Association of Washington.
