PATEROS – Members of the public are invited to bring their stories and a dish to share to a group discussion and potluck about historical Pateros at the Pateros Museum from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29.
Representatives from IRIS, the Initiative for Rural Innovation and Stewardship, will be on hand to record histories as part of the gathering at the museum devoted to historical discussion.
Pateros Mayor Carlene Anders said the goal is to convene the group regularly.
“We’re trying to do a quarterly museum potluck where we share historical ideas,” said Anders. “We’ve had one already in March and this will be the second one of the year.”
The Arbor Day Historical Panel comprised of long-time Pateros residents Jerry Bryant, Phil Brownlee, Bill Meadows and Mike Hull, who discussed Pateros history with visitors to the April 27 Arbor Day observance, will be in attendance.
“Bring a dish and talk stories about Pateros,” Anders said.
