TONASKET -  A Candidate Development workshop will be held in Tonasket, on Oct. 15, 2017, 12:30-4 p.m. at the Community Cultural Center, 411 S. Western Avenue.

Ashley Thrasher, Program Manager at TwispWorks, will lead a workshop titled: “Run for Office or Run a Campaign”. The training session will include a 3-hour presentation on the basics of running a political campaign. The lecture is a high-level view of how to run a campaign and will cover: an overview of the timeline, fundraising tips, volunteer recruitment and components of campaign management. In addition to the lecture, participants will receive materials to take home and learn where to access key resources. There will be time for breakout sessions, Question and Answer, and networking opportunities.

This free, nonpartisan workshop is available to all Okanogan County citizens who are considering running for office or are interested in running a campaign for a candidate.

This nonpartisan candidate development workshop is co-sponsored by Represent Okanogan County and Okanogan Citizen's Action Network, groups that focused on good governance and informing and engaging citizens’ ability to affect change.
