Christmas tree fundraiser deadline to order is Dec. 1

PATEROS – The Pateros Ski Program is selling Christmas trees this year to raise funds to upgrade its ski equipment. The Noble fir trees are six-to seven-feet tall and sell for $55. Comparable trees sell at the commercial tree lots for $70. The Noble fir is noted for its popularity as a holiday tree and is a species that retains its needles for a long period.
Trees can be ordered through Shane Scroggie at (509) 979-7243. Buyers are requested to order and pay for trees by Friday, Dec. 1. Trees can be picked up in the Sweet River Bakery parking lot on Saturday, Dec. 2. Funds from the sales will go far for the K-12 Pateros students who want to participate in the ski program. Ten dollars get a student all needed equipment, 10 bus rides to the ski hill and free lessons.
