Full field turns out for Pateros Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

PATEROS – One of the local area’s big sports events of the summer, the Pateros Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, June 29, at the Alta Lake Golf Resort.

“We had a full field of teams, 17 in total, 68 players turn out,” resort co-owner Leigh Anne Barth said.

The four-man, best-ball format began with a 1 p.m. shotgun start and included a hole-in-one-competition, and long drive/KP contest, and team prizes. Local wine tasting, silent auction, and team swag helped fill the schedule when teams were not on the links.

The winning team of Tony Block, Brian Condon, Tom Cox, and Zach Myers shot 14 under par to take first place.

Tournament sponsors included MVM Well Drilling, Zoretic Law, and Alta Cellars.

Parker Barth will host the final match of the PGA Junior League at Bear Mountain Ranch in Chelan on Thursday, July 26. Thirty-six local youngsters aged 13 and under participated in Junior League Golf this year.
