Main Street lights ignite Brewster Christmas spirit

Posted

BREWSTER – The Christmas lights of Main Street will illuminate the city and spirit of the coming holiday on Saturday, Nov. 25.
The Brewster community and Chamber of Commerce invites all businesses to decorate their premises with red and white lights – “red for our Lady Bears” – in support of the occasion. The city will also celebrate “Shop Small Business Saturday” and businesses are encouraged to remain open a little later to accommodate more shoppers.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, the Brewster Boys and Girls Club, in conjunction with the Brewster Police Department, will host Christmas Shop. The public is invited to stop by for the festivities and sing Christmas carols while all wait for Santa to make his arrival at the Brewster Boys and Girls Club.
Beginning at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 23, the traditional Las Posadas will make its way down Main Street. All are invited to walk and sing carols and enjoy food and hot chocolate at the final stop.
