National Night Out returns to Brewster, Aug. 1

BREWSTER – Reserve the four hours between 5 and 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, to participate in National Night Out and meet some of the folks who make it their business to look out for your family’s welfare and safety.
The Brewster Police Department is hosting the event at Columbia Cove Park, 604 W. Cliff Avenue in a continuing effort to build its police-community partnerships.
Millions of neighbors in thousands of communities across the nation come together at the annual event to promote police and citizen interaction under positive circumstances.
The Brewster Chamber of Commerce will provide free food while the Brewster Boys and Girls Club will provide a variety of family fun and games.
Fire trucks, police cars and equipment from the Brewster Public Works Department will be on display.
A child passenger car seat clinic complete with free inspections will be available together with a limited supply of new car seats.
Guests at National Night Out will include Three Rivers Hospital, Douglas Okanogan Fire District 15 EMS, Okanogan County Sheriff Dispatch and local businesses.
Free child I.D. kits and crime prevention information will be available and especially for the youngsters, two children’s bikes will be raffled.
