Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers announces retirement

OKANOGAN COUNTY –  After a 35-year career in law enforcement and four terms (16 years) as Okanogan County Sheriff, Frank Rogers announced Wednesday, May 9, that he will not seek a fifth term in office.
‘I have chosen not to run for a fifth term as Sheriff,” Rogers said in a written statement released on Wednesday, May 9.
In announcing his decision Rogers said it was “one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make, but it’s time and I am a firm believer that change is good.
Rogers said he will retire at the end of his current term on Dec. 31, 2018.
