PBCRC receives Rural Development grant

PATEROS – The Pateros-Brewster Community Resource Center (PBCRC) announced confirmation that the organization has received final approval for a grant from USDA Rural Development.

PBCRC Executive Director Gene Dowers disclosed approval of the $27,175 grant in an email to supporters on Wednesday, June 19.

“Thank you very much for your generous, positive, powerful letters of support,” wrote Dowers. “I am convinced that they were the ‘reference check’ that gave us the final nudge for approval.”

Dowers added that in conjunction with a new lease agreement currently being finalized, PBCRC “can charge into developing our building into a much stronger, more fully-featured center for resources with our communities.”
