Schools will observe Veterans Day on Nov. 9

BRIDGEPORT – Schools in Mansfield, Brewster, Pateros and Bridgeport will all observe Veterans Day at different times on Thursday, Nov. 9.
Veterans Day officially falls on Saturday, Nov. 11, this year but the schools will hold early observances to allow students to participate.
Representatives of the American Legion posts in Bridgeport and Brewster will visit Bridgeport High School at 9 a.m., travel to Pateros for a 10:30 a.m. ceremony, and conclude at 1 p.m. at Brewster.
There will be no American Legion contingent at Mansfield High School for its 1:30 p.m. observance.
