Posted

BREWSTER – Tickets for the Hope Lutheran Quilt Raffle are now on sale through the Pateros, Brewster, Bridgeport Senior Center. Ticket prices are $1 each or six for $5. Center president Kathy Lowry said two quilts are up for prizes.

“One has a Christmas theme and one has a children’s theme,” Lowry said.

The quilts will be on display at the Center from Dec. 3-5, with the drawing on Dec. 8.

The Center’s Christmas celebration is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 19, with musical entertainment by the Glessner girls, Camille, Sandi, and Carla. The annual election of Center officers will be at 10:30 a.m. the same day for those interested in volunteering their ideas, energy and commitment to lead the organization into 2020.

S.A.I.L. (Stay Active and Independent for Life) classes continue to be held every Tuesday and Thursday at the Center.

“Jim McBee has so graciously taken on the class now,” said Lowry who, along with Larry Bundy, is taking a break after conducting the classes for the past three years. A big shout out to both.
