Shooting in Bridgeport results in injury, arrest

BRIDGEPORT - On Saturday, January, 26 at about 12:19 a.m.. Douglas County Deputies were dispatched to a report of a gunshot victim, in the 400 block of Crane Orchard Road.  When Deputies arrived they learned Benjamin Pineda-Castrejon, a 32-year-old male, of Bridgeport, sustained two gunshot wounds. As a result of the initial investigation, Jaime Valdovinos-Sanchez, a 29-year-old Brewster man, was arrested and booked into Okanogan County Jail for Assault in the first degree. Pineda-Castrejon was transported to CWH, and released several hours later with non-life threatening injuries. There are no public safety concerns at this time.  The investigation is ongoing.
