Janis M. (Parsons) Kile passed away on December 25, 2016 in Olympia, Wash., she was born on December 20, 1927 in Cashmere, Wash. to Robert S. and Hattie Parsons.
Janis and Lawrence (Larry) W. Kile were married on August 28, 1948 in Wenatchee, Wash., and they made their home and raised two children until 1963 when they moved to Pateros, Wash. Janis worked in a warehouse sorting apples and then worked for the Pateros School District for many years. In the early 1970’s Janis and Larry bought and ran the Sears Catalog Store in Brewster until they retired.
Janis was preceded in death by her son James R. Kile (1990) and husband Larry (1997). She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Marvin) Hobson, McCleary, Wash. and granddaughters- Christina Jones and Shawna (Brandon) Williams and great-granddaughter, Genevieve.
Mom felt so blessed when she got to spend time with Genevieve, she was the apple of her great grandmother’s eye and spoiled her whenever she could! I know that she is watching over us and will be proud to see Genevieve grow up.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 24, 3 p.m. at the Pateros Cemetery.
