BBGC will offer Before School Care starting Oct. 15

BREWSTER – The Brewster Boys and Girls Club (BBGC) will begin offering a program of early morning Before School Care on Monday, Oct. 15, from 6 a.m. until the start of school. The cost for the morning care program is $10 per day or $125 per month.

BBGC interim director Heather Carrington said the decision was made to offer the early morning program in response to parent requests for such a service to be available.

“We’ll open at 6 a.m. and walk the kids to the school cafeteria at 7:30 a.m. to eat,” said Carrington. “The kids will have somewhere safe to stay before school.”

The club is still making arrangements for bus transportation to the Bridgeport schools “but we do have transport set up for Pateros.” Carrington said.

Carrington announced the new program at the regular meeting of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
