Church couple say hello to Bridgeport

Posted

BRIDGEPORT – The new pastors of the Foursquare Wellspring of Life Church held a community event at noon Saturday, May 4, to introduce themselves to Bridgeport residents.

Carlos and Zuni Henriquez hosted a gathering at the Bridgeport City Park at 1300 Columbia Avenue featuring free hot dogs, music, dance, games and more. The couple said they want to meet many new friends as they assume their role at the church located at 1300 Foster Avenue.

The Henriquez’s are relocating from Moses Lake where both attended Big Bend Community College. Carlos earned his accounting degree in his home country of El Salvador. Zuni, born and raised in Mexico City, earned her Associates of Arts degree at BBGC and dental assistant certificate. Both graduated El Shaddai Theological Bible Institute and have been taking online college courses through the Foursquare Mission.

In an earlier statement to The Quad, the couple said they hope “to offer the training and community events on how to open up a business starting from nothing to success.”

The Foursquare Church was the site for Bridgeport’s only Food Pantry that operated out of the building basement for 25 years until the service closed last year.
