Heroes Dodge Ball teams play in BBGC fundraiser

BREWSTER – Heroes by the dozens turned out for the Heroes Dodge Ball Fundraiser hosted at the Brewster Boys and Girls Club last Thursday, Oct. 18. Funds raised from donors attending the event are designated for the family of Brewster Elementary School student, Yahir Corona. Corona, a 10-year-old fifth grader us undergoing treatment for bone cancer at Children’s Hospital in Seattle.

A total of 36 players on six teams turned out for the competition. Teams included:
1. Brewster Marketplace
2. True Value Nuts & Bolts
3. Brewster Police Department
4. Brewster and Pateros Fire Departments
5. Columbia River Select 1
6. Columbia River Select 2

The competition ran from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with CRS 1 taking first place. The tally of funds raised was not available at press time.
