Bridgeport High School will host Opioid Response Conference March 15

BRIDGEPORT – Bridgeport High School will be one of several sites that will host a North Central Washington Opioid Response Conference from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, March 15. The conference will focus on issues relating to the local opioid crisis, it will be held by the North Central Accountable Community of Health (NCACH) in partnership with stakeholders and local officials.

Titled, Pathways to Prevention, the conference is free and those interested in attending can register online at ncw_opioid_response_conference.eventbrite.com/.

“This is an open event to bring community members together to prioritize solutions to reduce the opioid crisis,” said an NCACH media release that invites educators, students and community leaders to participate in discussions to develop “innovative, out-of-the-box strategies for opioid prevention in our whole community.”

Among organizations participating in the conference are WorkSource Okanogan County, North Central Educational Service District, Columbia Valley Community Health, Grant Integrated Services, WSU Extension, legislators, tribal nations, educators, health workers and others affected by the opioid epidemic.

Following the program attendees can participate in free Narcan training.

Other conference locations at the same day and time will be held at the Oroville High School District Office, Liberty Bell High School, Omak High School library, and Lake Roosevelt Junior/Senior High School.
