BREWSTER - Dozens of guests turned out for the Brewster-Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center's Valentine Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. last Sunday, Feb. 12. The Center provided the refreshments.

The Columbia River Quilt Guild was on hand to display its raffle quilt "Trip Around the Island" made by member Fons Porter.

Members representing the Guild sold raffle tickets to prospective winners during Sunday's two-hour open house

"The Columbia River Quilters are quilters from the Quad City area that make comfort quilts for those in need, and Veteran's Quilts that we give to local area veterans," spokeswoman Lisa Schluneger wrote in an information release. "One of our favorite projects each year is the raffle quilt we make to help support community programs."

Proceeds from this year's raffle quilt will go the Senior Center.

Tickets on sale now cost $1 each, or six for $5. The winner will be selected at the Guild's 19th annual quilt show at the Apple Pie Jamboree, July 15.
