Seniors look to guide softball team

Posted

PATEROS – A core of four seniors – Valeria Angel, Veronica Morales, Anna Schluneger and Aubrey Miller – will lead the 15-player roster of Nannies on the varsity softball team this season.
Coach John Slater also has several athletes just coming off post-season basketball competition who should be in good physical shape for the rigors of the fast-pitch diamond.
Along with seniors Schluneger and Miller other basketball transfers are sophomores Andrea Baird, Jahaira Hernandez, Samantha White, Ashlyn Gonzalez, and eighth-grader Aleeka Smith.

The 1B Nannies will play eight Central Washington 2B league opponents this season including the always-tough Brewster Bears, Bridgeport Fillies, Lake Roosevelt Raiders, Liberty Bell Mountain Lions, Manson Trojans, Oroville Hornets, Soap Lake Eagles and Tonasket Tigers.
Bridgeport opens its season Saturday, March 18, with a doubleheader at Tonasket.
The Nannies first home stand is against Soap Lake at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22.
