15 teams participate in Legion golf tourney

ALTALAKE – This year 15 teams participated in the Fifth Annual Legion Alta Lake Golf Tournament on Sunday, August 27. Tied for first place was the Lance Maning team and the Alta Employees, both shooting a 16 under par 56. Brewster Market Team #1, last year’s defending champions, finished third with a 14 under par 58. Closest to hole on par 3’s (KP). KP on holes #2 was John Gilmore. KP on hole #6 Kevin Vallance. KP on Hole #12 B. Vallance. KP on Hole #14 Jayson Whal.

Men's Long Drive Keving Vallance. Womens Long Drive Shirley Philabaun. The long marshmallow drive was won by Jerry Gilmore. There were prizes for first place, all the KP’s and long drives. Even the long Marshmallow drive won $43. Along with the golf, the players were treated to a lunch including pulled pork sandwich, chips,and a cold drink.
