Celebrate Halloween from Pateros to Mansfield

Quad Cities –- Halloween will offer something for everyone as organizations from from Pateros to Mansfield remove the masks from their plans for spooky fun and special treats.

Pateros

Trunk or Treat, crafts, face painting and a movie are among activities that will be available at the Pateros school on Friday, Oct. 28. Trunk-or-Treat from decorated car trunks will run from 4-6 p.m. in the school parking lot. At the same time crafts and face painting will be available. While the event is free to the public some activities will serve as fundraisers for school classes and sports teams.

At 6:15 p.m. a movie in the school gym will show The Addams Family. Bleachers and floor seating will be available, but for added comfort viewers are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows. The Pateros Booster Club will be selling concessions.

 Brewster

 The Chamber of Commerce will once again present Trick-or-Treat on Main Street and a popular costume contest to draw families to the downtown on Monday, Oct. 31. Lineup for the costume contest will start at 3:45 p.m. in Legion Park with judging at 4 p.m. Five age categories from 0-2, 3-5, 4-8, 9-11, and 12-up, will compete for first, second, and third-place trophies for each group.

The Senior Center will offer a chili and cornbread feed where patrons can also vote for favorite entries in the pumpkin carving contest.

Mansfield

According to sources at the Mansfield Lions Club, the Mansfield Fire Department will host Trunk-or-Treat at the fire hall on Monday, Oct. 31, followed by activities for kids at Harold Beard Park.
