Bridgeport's Oren Cox finishes seventh in state; Bears finish in 14th place in Pasco

PASCO-The Brewster Bears boys' team and Bridgeport's Oren Cox traveled to Pasco for the 1B/2B state cross country meet on Nov. 7 with Cox finishing in seventh and the Bears finishing 14th overall.

The meet hosted 16 teams, with 140 runners in the boys' race.

Cox represented Bridgeport, finishing seventh with a time of 16 minutes and 31 seconds.

Brewster's Brady Busching finished first for the Bears, landing in 73rd place with a time of 18:48.

Ramiro Rincon finished in 77th at 18:57, followed by teammate Edgar Guzman in 84th with a time of 19:07.

Jesus Castro finished in 99th with a time of 19:37 with teammate Bryan Lopez close behind in 102nd with a time of 19:43.

In 107th place, just three seconds behind Lopez, Carlos Talavera finished with a time of 19:46.

Bryan Cuin-Tinoco finished in 109th place with a time of 19:49, rounding out the pack for the Brewster Bears.
