American Legion Post No. 97 in Brewster will hold the organization's annual crab feed this Saturday, Jan. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Legion hall in Brewster.
The menu features crab, of course, along with salad, bread and dessert. There will be prime rib for people whose taste doesn't run to crab; a children's menu has been added as well. Tickets are available at the Legion and will be $30 for adults and $25 for senior citizens through Jan. 15; after that, prices increase $5 per ticket. Children's tickets are half the adult price and will be available at the door.
Grange training Jan. 20
The Brewster Grange No. 1018 will hold a training session for Grangers and any non-Grangers who want to come next Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the Brewster Grange Hall on Grange Road near Brewster. The meeting begins with a potluck at noon, with the presentation to follow. The state lecturer and state CWA will be leading the discussion, said Grange member Marge Hagy.
Hospital guild meeting moved
The Okanogan Douglas Hospital Guild has pushed back its monthly meeting one week; guild members will meet Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. in the hospital dining room. All interested persons, guild members or just interested in joining, are invited.
