Senior Center Thrift Store

BREWSTER – The Brewster- Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center Thrift Store is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come to the center on Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. for coffee and conversation, plus sweets.Check out our great kids section. Donations accepted when they are open. They are also the Brewster Visitor Information Center and the Brewster Chamber of Commerce meeting room.

Brewster bus trips

BREWSTER – OCTN takes Brewster area residents to Wenatchee, second Thursday of the month. That next trip is August 11. The bus starts picking folks up at their homes at 7:30 a.m. Riders may request  destination(s); medical appointments etc. On the third Thursday of each month, August 18,  riders will be taken to Omak for the day. Riders request their destination(s). Wenatchee: $12/boarding for General Public, $6 suggested donation/day for Seniors (60 plus). Red Cross Blood Drive: August 18

BREWSTER - An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Thursday, August, 18 Noon-5 p.m., at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 17 N.W. Hospital Way in Brewster. Blood donations are essential.  To make an appointment visit, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767)  or enable  the  Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device  to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent  where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.  Blood and platelet donors can save time at their next donation by using RapidPass® to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, before arriving at the blood drive.
