Senior meals served Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday at Senior Center and home delivery

 BREWSTER – The Senior Center is now serving meals at Noon, at the center on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays. Home delivered meals are delivered those same days. Call 509-826-7979 to reserve or cancel your meal. Suggested donation for those over age 60 is $4. For those 60 and under the cost is $10. Senior Center Thrift Store

BREWSTER – The Brewster- Pateros-Bridgeport Senior Center Thrift Store is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come to the center on Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. for coffee and conversation, plus sweets.Check out our great kids section. Donations accepted when they are open. They are also the Brewster Visitor Information Center and the Brewster Chamber of Commerce meeting room.

Chelan Valley Hope

CHELAN - Chelan Valley Hope’s Winter Coat Drive has officially launched for the season. They are accepting new and gently used coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and new socks. All sizes are needed. Donation bins can be found at the following locations; Chelan Valley Hope, Chelan Fire Dept., Manson Fire Dept., Lake Chelan Eagles, Northshore Bible Church, Livingstone Church, and The Church of the Nazarene. Bingo every Thursday

BREWSTER - Bingo is held at the Brewster American Legion, every Thursday night at 6 p.m. It is open to public. Come early to purchase game packets and markers. Check out their Facebook page at American Legion Columbia Post 97 for more events.

Brewster bus trips

BREWSTER – OCTN takes Brewster area residents to Wenatchee, second Thursday of the month. That next trip is Nov. 10 The bus starts picking folks up at their homes at 7:30 a.m. Riders may request  destination(s); medical appointments etc. On the third Thursday of each month, Oct. 20  riders will be taken to Omak for the day. Riders request their destination(s). Wenatchee: $12/boarding for General Public, $6 suggested donation/day for Seniors (60 plus). ZUZU African Acrobats to perform

OMAK - The ZUZU African Acrobats will perform at the Omak PAC, October 30 at 3 p.m. Originating from the historical small town of Bagamoyo, Tanzania, ZUZU African Acrobats celebrate the two thousand year old Bantic culture of East Africa. Each member of the cast has received special instruction from elders in the Bagamoyo’s Arts and Cultural Institute to perform these ancient traditions to audiences around the world. They present a high energy routine which includes fast pyramid building, limbo, contortion, bottle balancing, unicycle, tumbling and African traditional dance and music for everyone to enjoy. As their performance will be on Halloween Eve we are encouraging members of the audience to wear Halloween costumes if they would like. A parade of costumes will on stage at the end of intermission for those interested in appearing. Tickets are on sale at Rawson’s in Okanogan, Kelley Imaging in Omak and at Tonasket Interiors as well as online at Adult tickets are $25 student tickets are $10. Children four and under are free.

Veterans Day Ceremony

BREWSTER – The Brewster School District will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 9, at 1 p.m. in the Brewster Middle School Gym. Veterans and community members are invited to attend a K-12 assembly to honor veterans of the Armed Forces. There will be gifts for the veterans.
